Karthus' redesign, or "PRESS R" for friends, was announced at PAX East 2014. It was also available on the test server, so we have a lot more information on it!

THE SERMON OF THE DEAD
Come closer, my children, let me look at you. So many new faces, astonished and confused. Many of them arrive on this consecrated land, without knowing that it is their destination. But this pilgrimage is not accidental; you have suffered, and your mind is recovering. Look around you. You are not alone.
We are gathered here on this day to mourn those we have lost. To cry, to pity and moan, for those souls who were so dear to us and who are out of reach. Speak up, let them hear us. Let them hear our pain! Let them hear our anguish! Let them know, in their hearts, that they are not forgotten!
These sad creatures are only pale reflections of us, enveloped in a halo of false light, trying vainly, blindly, to cling to some semblance of meaning. Chained to an empty existence, they languish, knowing neither what they are, nor what they could be. Every moment, they secretly implore to be released.
My children, we are their shepherds. They only move when they hear our voices. So call them! Bring them out of their futile torpor. Sing, howl your nostalgia, your hatred, your hunger! Fill the void of their lives with dread; remind them of their inevitable mortality.
Go, faithful, and free these wretches from the prison that is life. Spread the good word of death, and guide these lost spirits.
