Rocket League - Season 1 and Rare Items

Rocket League - Season 1 and Rare Items

As announced without giving a specific date, Rocket League Season 1 will end soon. And we now know that it will be in the next update, scheduled for February.

On this occasion, rewards will be granted to players according to their ranking. Players who have reached at least Bronze rank will receive a nice crown to place on their car, in four variants (depending on their rank): Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Here is a little preview:

The crown variant you receive will depend on the highest rank achieved when the season ends. So if you are "Silver" in 1v1 and "Gold" in 2v2, you will receive a Gold crown.

Another addition with this next update is the Item Quality index. The collected items (antennas, boosts, hats, etc.) will have a quality criterion:

    • Common (gray): all items acquired normally, while playing.
    • Premium (Green): items from DLC
    • Limited (Orange): Items acquired during seasons or seasonal events, such as Halloween

Another item quality index will also appear: Rare (sky blue). It will include exclusive items and will be earned a little differently. Indeed, the rate of loot to obtain them is not based on a precise percentage, like seasonal items for example. The chances of getting a Rare item increase as you play. In other words, the more you play, the greater your chances of getting one.

Once you have obtained a Rare item, the counter will reset to zero, and you will start from the beginning on your quest to get a new one. A great way to reward players who play often.

More information should arrive on January 22, including the changes made to Season 2. Vroum vroum!
