When creating your Sim, you can choose from 23 aspirations arranged in 10 groups. Each aspiration brings a bonus trait. Note that this choice does not restrict you because you can do all of them during the life of your Sim. Some allow your Sim to live longer, enjoy a happier life, while others could allow you to earn more money and thus boost your career.

Soul Mate: This Sim wants to find "true love" and lead a fulfilling life with him! Reward trait: as a couple (ends the Soul Mate aspiration). Dating Sims have special interactions with their partners that allow them to overcome life's challenges.

Exceptional Brain: This Sim wants to be both cultured and manual! Reward Trait: Handyman (ends the Exceptional Brain aspiration). DIY Sims can instantly repair and upgrade any item.
Computer Genius: This Sim wants to know everything about computers, from games to professional opportunities! Reward Trait: Web Master / Pro (completes the Computer Engineering aspiration). The masters of the web are making the most of their computers by unlocking extremely convenient ways to use them.

Extraordinary Painter: This Sim wants his life to be more than art and painting! Reward Trait: Expressionist (ends the Extraordinary Painter aspiration). Expressionist Sims capture the essence of feelings and can create extremely expressive works of art no matter what their mood
Best Selling Author: This Sim Wants To Write Books And Become A Famous Author! Reward trait: Poetic (ends the bestselling author aspiration). Poetic Sims capture the essence of life in a book and use it to bring back those they've lost. (This Sim can write stories that really bring Sims to life!)
Music Genius: This Sim wants to be an expert musician and songwriter! Reward Trait: Bewitching Musician (ends the Genius of Music aspiration). Bewitching musicians know a veritable arsenal of songs that have great power over other Sims.
Bonus trait: Muse: Muses get better skill upgrades when inspired.

Public Enemy: This Sim wants to make enemies and become a famous criminal! Reward Trait: Manipulator (ends the aspiration Public Enemy). Manipulative Sims know exactly what to say when it comes to arousing anger, sadness, and jealousy in their opponents (New Villainous Interactions Unlocked).
King of Nonsense: This Sim only lives to make jokes and wreak havoc! Reward Trait: Persecutor (ends the King of Foolish aspiration). Persecutors can sabotage almost anything, whether it's an item or another Sim's efforts.
Bonus trait Dastardly: Dastardly sims perform more powerful and effective evil interactions.

Successful Offspring: This Sim wants to have a successful family in life. Reward Trait: Lives by proxy (ends the Winning Lineage Aspiration). If you live by proxy, your children's skills benefit yours!
Big Happy Family: This Sim wants to start a big, loving home! Reward Trait: Patriarch / Matriarch (ends the Big Happy Family aspiration). Patriarchs / Matriarchs improve their children's skills when they are nearby.
Bonus trait Very Family: Very Family Sims have strong family relationships faster.
Fortune
Incredibly Rich: This Sim wants to get rich and have a successful career! Reward Trait: Clever (ends the Incredibly Rich aspiration). Smart Sims receive a payout each week based on their household funds.
Real Estate Baron: This Sim wants to own the biggest and most beautiful homes! Reward Trait: Thrifty (ends the Baron real estate aspiration). Thrifty Sims get 10% off all Build Mode purchases each week. This reduction will automatically be applied to household funds.
Bonus trait Business-savvy: Business-savvy Sims earn more than the standard salary while working.
Nature
Freelance Botanist: This Sim wants to grow plants and become an expert in gardening! Reward Trait: Naturalist (ends independent aspiration). Naturalist Sims don't mind fire. This does not touch them and they can turn it off easily.

Great Mixologist: This Sim wants to know everything there is to know about mixology! Reward Trait: Potions Pro (ends the Great Mixologist aspiration). Potions pros can brew potent drinks that influence the emotions of those who drink them.
