Wildstar - Origin of the Aurines

I give you a shortened version of the original article which is available in spanish and which I encourage you to read:

The Aurines come from a world close to the Border, Arboria. This hunting people had developed a symbiotic relationship with the trees of the planet and in particular with the ancient Mother Tree of this sylvan planet.

Until the arrival of humans descended from the survivors of the Brightland Uprising, the Aurines knew nothing about the existence of other worlds. Very quickly a solid friendship was born between these new friends. So, unwilling to draw the Dominion's attention to this lost paradise, the Humans did not linger and resumed their journey. However, some vessels kept the habit of returning regularly to refuel and visit their Aurine friends.

    The arrival of the Dominion

Despite the precautions of human fugitives, the Dominion eventually discovered the existence of Arboria and annexed the planet. Immediately the Dominion sent an army of Land clearers to exploit the resources of the planet. Despite the resistance of the Aurines, the pioneers began to transform the forest areas into vast charred deserts.

Desperate, the young Queen Aurin, Myala Everstar, sent a distress signal to their human friends, imploring them to come to the aid of her people.

    A difficult choice

The human leaders received Queen Myala's request and with the help of Granok mercenaries led by the steadfast Durek Stonebreaker, organized a rescue operation.

The bulk of the fleet created a diversion as a secondary flotilla landed discreetly on the planet. The Aurines embarked while the Dominion was busy fighting the Granok mercenaries more than inclined to do battle with the Dominion again.

But the transport capacity of the Exiles fleet was insufficient to save all of the Aurines. Reluctantly, Queen Myala had to resolve to flee her planet, but solemnly promised the survivors that she would return one day.

    Thirst for life

Aboard the Exiles' fleet, the Aurines adapted to the science and technology of their allies, using their affinity with nature to care for and develop the fleet's agricultural vessels. Despite their tragic fate, the Aurines were determined to survive and one day return to Arboria to free her from the yoke of the Dominion and regain possession of their home world.

Now that you know a little more about the races of the Exiles, do you have a preference for which one you would like to play as?
