Not everyone knows the Halloween event in Guild Wars 2 so here are the various achievements to help you and various explanations to help you get them.
Like every festival in Guild Wars 2, you will be entitled to a meta-achievement called "A dear acquaintance (25
)"which will be completed once all the other achievements have been validated. It will earn you an agglomerate of candies (1000 candies). The achievements required for this one can be divided into two parts:
- Those of the Mad King's labyrinth, an event specific instance
- Everyone else outside
Mad King's Labyrinth
The labyrinth is a specific instance for Halloween: you can access it through a door at the Lion's Arch. Once entered, you can use the portal (in the form of a base) to access it. We have 4 maze-related achievements that require a group (don't worry, even with the expansion it's still crowded).
- Brise-Os (2) : defeat the labyrinthine horror.
- Be the Eternal (2) : defeat the skeletal lichen.
- Professional candy cracker (2) : defeat the grand viscount of candy.
- Close the doors (5) : Complete 50 gate events.
These successes are not hard, allow an hour in the labyrinth to complete them. Try to stay in a group as some monsters do a lot of damage.
Exterior of the Labyrinth
We have 5 possible achievements outside of the maze although some are mostly from the consumption of event achievement items:
- Something good to eat (2) : open 50 bags of candy
- New afterlife for Quaggan (3) : Give 1000 candies to Drooburt. It can be found north of the Mystic Forge towards the event vendors
- A good trampling (3) : Use the Scarecrow or Mad King finishing moves 20 times.
- Pumpkin Carving (17) : carve 150 pumpkins
- A royal tradition (3) : take part in the "Mad King Said" event (available at odd times) on Lion's Arch Square
Regarding success A good trampling, if you are not good at PvP, have a friend of yours accompany you to a custom PvP arena for you to perform the necessary 20 kills. For A royal tradition, you will have to perform the various actions that the king will ask you in the central square. In addition, depending on your success rate, you can recover key fragments for his chest (limited to 3 fragments per day or one chest).
For success Pumpkin carving, it is possible to do it in the king's labyrinth but also outside. Below is the 2015 map of the Labyrinth but also the 2014 map for Central Tyria (the majority is correct). Remember to hold down the CTRL key to view them.

Daily Achievements
We also have the right to daily hits for this festival. These do not count in the Halloween meta-achievement but in that of the Daily Finisher. We will have the right to:
- Pumpkin Cutter (1) : carve 5 pumpkins
- Candy craving (1) : eat 50 candies
- Treat Collector (1) : open Halloween bags
- Lunatic Inquisition (1) : Complete a game of Lunatic Inquisition
- Halloween Costume Brawl Champion (1) : become Halloweeen champion (get help from a friend).
- Lock (1) : Successfully complete 5 door events (Labyrinth).
- Trooper Reaper (1) : Defeat 40 Halloween minions (Maze or Madness Rise Instance).
- Crazy Jump (1) : Complete the steeple puzzle (don't try to be the fastest, just make your jumps).
