The famous brand of blasters released two new toys in black and yellow colors from Fortnite : the Nerf Elite AR-L, a replica of the SCAR, and the Nerf Elite SP-L, a replica of the silent pistol. Shortly before they went out to the store on May 16, I was lucky enough to receive them at home to test them:
Nerf Elite AR-L
With a removable 10-dart magazine and automatic fire, this large-sized rifle is perfect for any shooters looking for a high rate of fire. Of course, its length, and therefore its weight, does not make it suitable for all hands, even if its bottom loading mode is particularly accessible. All it takes is a push of a button on the trigger and the magazine "drops". It then snaps back into place once the ammo is properly inserted, with 20 darts supplied with the blaster.
A small door on the side of the barrel is provided to retrieve stuck darts. A safety is in place preventing automatic fire from being activated if this door is open, if a dart is stuck, or if the magazine is not in place. Finally, the two upper sights are foldable, making it adaptable to all situations.
Note that the automatic fire is activated thanks to 4 1,5V batteries to be placed towards the front of the barrel, the opening of the hatch requiring a screwdriver.

Nerf Elite SP-L
By its size, this blaster is particularly suitable for younger children who will manage to handle it without difficulty. It only accommodates a maximum of 3 darts, to be loaded from the top of the pistol, and will need to be rearmed between each shot by pulling the breech horizontally backwards. A detachable, silencer-like barrel is added to the front of the blaster muzzle. But the shots are nonetheless noisy, so this is mainly cosmetic.
The blaster is sold with a bag of 6 darts on the websites of Micromania, Toys'R'us and La Fnac at the generally observed price of € 24.99. It will be available from June 1 on Amazon.
Conclusion
Using the proven mechanical technology of all Nerf brand blasters for years, these blasters are simple and efficient. They also have the advantage of being compatible with classic darts, made of durable foam with hollow and flexible tips, which you certainly already have in large numbers! All Fortnite fans who want to recreate a life-size Battle Royale in their gardens will not be able to miss these blasters!
