SWTOR - Space missions

Love to shoot anything that moves and when you see a big cannon in the game you can't help but check if there is no way to use it? Then space combat is for you!

This article is aimed at both levels 50 and players in the process of leveling and is part of the "what to do after 50?" Series. ". The second answer is therefore: to make distinctions of the fleet!

During leveling

From around level 16, once the capital planet is finished, we obtain a spaceship that allows us to leave freely on all the planets of the galaxy. Like many other MMOs, we can go anywhere from this one in our possession but this does not mean that we will survive everything ... More than a simple means of transport, the spaceship is a true HQ, you can discuss with your various partners there, store various items in your hold and take daily space mission quests. It is this last point that we will detail today.

First of all, don't neglect your spaceship days! Indeed it will bring you a significant number of experience points, credits and marks of the fleet (we will come back to this later) in a minimum of time.

I also advise all players to disconnect in their ship, so you benefit from the "rested" bonus (Xp on mobs x 2 during a certain interval). Above all, it allows you to take and carry out your daily newspapers immediately.

And leveling: un gain d'XP

The quests are taken in the cockpit, where the galaxy map is located. They unlock according to your level.

When two new missions are available, you will first have a unique quest specific to each of them and, once these are completed, you will unlock the daily quest: "Operation" which will ask you to complete two missions. to be accomplished. So every time you unlock two new missions, it's a bit late for Christmas as it will earn you XP and credits!

However, the main focus of the ship's day laborers being XP, many may wonder, "Yes but at level 50 is it still worth doing them?"

At 50: a significant gain

Here is what operations and missions at level 50 are worth in Credits and Fleet Badges. These are the names of the imperial missions but the logic is the same for the Republic

In total, to complete the entire ship's day at level 50, it takes you about 1h20, loading time included. For a gain of 100 fleet badges and 58 credits (excluding bonus missions, which can easily go up to 890 credits if you complete most of the bonus missions.).

Optimize the use of badges

A very interesting NPC is hiding in the Galactic Market district (southwest for Empire, northeast for Republic), behind the ship upgrade vendor. For 375 Fleet Insignia, he gives you a box (Ancestral Artifact Storage Box) containing Level 50 Epic Equipment (Prototype).

And there three possibilities are available to you:

  • Either bingo, it's for your character
  • Either it's not for you, you put it for sale (at least 100 credits)
  • Either you are part of a guild like ours and you give the item to a colleague, hoping that another will have an item for you (if you are several from the same guild doing your quests, in the end this " almost cancels out the random as the object will always go to one of you)

Finally, with regard to the equipment of your ship, simply try to keep it up to date according to your level via the merchant who sells the improvements or thanks to the quest rewards. Keep ALL of your badges to purchase the box. Normally, if you are relatively skilled, the base upgrades sold by the merchant for credits will be enough to complete all missions. Only the last one will require a little dexterity but once understood, it will be relatively simple.

So yes, at level 50 you can easily find yourself finishing all missions without having your ship fully equipped (I have no electromagnetic generator, no electronic warfare module, no proton torpedoes, no energy conversion module)

Here I hope that it will be useful to some of you, if you have any questions do not hesitate?
