SWTOR – Macroscope (Empire)

SWTOR – Macroscope (Empire)

It all starts at level 52, either by going to the Empire Fleet or to the drill control center on Makeb. A small droid will give you the quest, which begins the adventure! Of course, as we detail the quests, there will be révélations !

Dromud Cheese

The little droid puts you in touch with Dromud Kaas-based Dark Mortis, who warns you that a dangerous individual is on the loose and asks you to find Evie Bo. Head over to Dromud Kaas to meet the woman in the Sith's office.

On the spot, the young woman announces to you that a former spy has returned to service, the "Shroud", initially hired by the Cartel des Hutts, but going it alone since a discovery he made. This led him for some reason to want to take on Dromund Kaas. This is where Bo teaches us that she is nothing less than the former first lieutenant of this super-spy, whom she left when he wanted to kill her when she became worried about this attack on the 'Empire. She gives us a new toy tinkered with by the Shroud, a macroscope. Much more than a pair of binoculars, the object integrates many analysis and communication programs, you will find it in your mission objects tab.

The next step is to locate the Shroud transmitters on Dromund Kaas. A first location is just outside the Sith sanctuary, represented by a small icon on your map:

In the place indicated, use the Macroscope, and you will have to locate one of the transmitting antennas. Once located, click on it and the first part of the quest will be carried out. More than 3 to find. Open your map, you can see that three icons indicate the locations (they are also indicated on the minimap):

Wilderness of waterfalls

The transmitter is on top of a larger antenna.

Unfinished Colossus

The transmitter is located at the top of the large statue under construction, at his shoulder.

Spatioport

The transmitter is located on the roof of one of the city's buildings, easily visible from the spaceport. Stand at the exit and aim for the building on the left.

It is now possible to triangulate the position of the Lieutenant of the Shroud in the Forgotten Temple southeast of the area. Take the speeder from the wall and cut through the heroic zone of the Malevolent Swamp. The doors seem blocked but in fact, it goes on the right: p

Once inside, security systems prevent progress, use your macroscope on the generator on the other side, it is a defense system generator. Once identified, you can click on it to launch an attack through the lasers and destroy it.

The sequel runs a bit: p

Two elements are to be identified, the central generator and the rocks above.

You can now click on the rocks, which fall on the generator. Contrary to what one might hope, the rays do not turn off! Some will just turn off intermittently. Here is the path to take, you will notice from the middle the trick of the lower ray which goes out, I took a moment to notice this one.

Once on the other side, you will meet B-NK1, an elite.

No trace of our target, the Shroud, which taunts us by holoterminal. From this moment, we almost join the republican framework (Macroscope (Republic)) even if the places differ slightly.

We must then infiltrate the wastewater treatment plant. It is not very easy to access it, here is the easiest way:

It's exactly the same as the Republic version, so I'm not going to detail as much as Juliaan did. To move forward, the safety valves must first be deactivated. The first is opposite the entrance, the second on the other side of the gate. A little bit of macroscope, a little lightning and presto, more steam, we can pass.

You might believe it, but in fact no, it's not over. A quick shot of the macroscope on the right for the stopper, new lightning and we can finally take the elevator to the level of sewage treatment.

The reception is explosive. A gate separates us from a hungry sewer prowler who looks very unfriendly. Take one of the fruits on the plant just in front of the grid, and throw it on the control panel. The Ranger will throw himself in pursuit, knocking down the panel at the same time. Once the door is open, go right and you find yourself once again in front of the closed door. Take a fruit just behind, swing it again on the control panel and destroy the valve cap on the far right (after locating it with the macroscope) to force the Ranger to move forward.

Continue to the left behind the bug, then you will come to laser beams blocking your way. Macroscope, then lightning and presto, the generator is deactivated. Our Ranger buddy attacks us at this point, no other solution than to kill him.

The suite still promises some great scares, with a room filled with lightning. Use the macroscope to detect the panels on the ceiling, go forward a little when the lightning is at the bottom and destroy the access panel to the energy pipe.

In the place of the debris (on the left, 4th line), this will create a safe place. It lacks a bit of range to destroy the second panel, exit quickly, break the panel and go back to hide. When this second panel is destroyed, a new quiet space is available 4 rows further, on the right. Wait for the right moment and join this refuge before finally leaving the zone of lightning. Just after, on the left, turn off the generator in case you have to go through it again!

In front of you, you will see a droid, it will be necessary to kill it, as well as the small adds, before they have time to open the door on the side, rounding up their rather beefy droid buddies.

Next step, more deadly lasers. The control is just to the left but electricity runs through the footbridge.

A little investigation is needed, it actually comes from a broken cable below, on the left. Go down and you can deactivate a first remote command, then the second, on the other side of the pole.

You can now step onto the catwalk and access the laser controls.

Go up, and it will be necessary to kill more droids to kill very quickly. A little further on is Stangg, a nice little Gamorrean, who will of course have to be eliminated.

Once down, use its database, and Evie will contact you with more info.

Evie after all gives you new coordinates to inspect, on Hoth and Corellia.

Hoth

SWTOR – Macroscope (Empire)

Take out the coats, we will once again have to sink into the snow. On top of that, there are no less than 6 locations to check out. As you can see, these are the exact same locations as the Republic!

Corellia

Now let's go to Corellia! As you can see, these are the exact same locations as the Republic!

The fall

Once all three antennas have been analyzed, move towards the point of origin of the transmissions.

Take the teleporter, you enter the hideout of the Shroud. Immediately, when you arrive, there is already a first riddle, with the mercenary Peej who taunts you.

Orders are in front of you, only one can be activated for the moment. Tap on it, and you'll see the generators on the side activate. Now the 3rd panel can be activated, when you press it, you will spawn droids that you will have to fight.

Then you will see Suppressor Controls behind the large generators on the right and left. Destroy both, then click again on the 3rd panel, which activates the 4th. Only, it is better once again not to click on it immediately, otherwise the droids will land. Instead, destroy the heatsink just behind you above. Once destroyed, you can click on the 4th panel and turn off the laser beams. Continue by cleaning the hallways. In front of you you will see a new room, do not go too fast, because lasers are activated and you may end up broken like Juliaan: p

SWTOR – Macroscope (Empire)

To deactivate these rays, you will first have to destroy the panel on the right. Once this is done, the panel will ask you for a color sequence in order to deactivate the rays. In order to find the solution, take the macroscope and aim at the control panels at the back of the room.

SWTOR – Macroscope (Empire) SWTOR – Macroscope (Empire) SWTOR – Macroscope (Empire)

Solution

Each of the panels was activated by the mercenary and the macroscope was able to identify the temperature of the handprint. It is therefore necessary to take the temperatures from the lowest to the highest in order. So Red, Green, Yellow, and then again green, because the macroscope tells us two temperatures, not one with decimal.

Clean the hallways once again. Then you will arrive in a large room, at the bottom of which is a large armored door, impossible to open. To do this, you will find storage barrels on each side. Activate them (one to the right of the door, and two to the left).

Once activated, it will be necessary to route the liquid to the door in order to detonate it. For that, look at the ceiling, you will see crossroads of control. It will be necessary to watch the path taken by the liquid, even if it means pressing several times. it's simple, if the pipe smokes, the liquid is passing! Once the liquid towards the door, you will have an alert (pressure of the pipes above the operational limits), destroy the pipe above, then on the door which will have frozen.

In the next room, all you need to do is face off against Peej, then use his database.

As always, small reward before Evie sends us to Alderande, Balmorra and Voss.
